Foundation Repair Services in Davis

Foundation problems can be both scary and stressful. After all, the foundation is the most important part of your home. That’s why we believe in guiding our customers step by step through the foundation repair process.  We’ve successfully completed over 2700 foundation repairs in Northern California. So, you’ll be in good hands.

Foundation Leveling

Have you noticed your floors are sloping or maybe windows and doors aren’t closing properly? If so, your foundation might not be level anymore. This usually happens when only one part of a foundation settles. We level foundations via underpinning, a process that uses steel push piers to lift the foundation back up to its original position.

Helical Piers

Helical piers are sort of like big screws. They’re easy to install and a popular choice for construction projects requiring a deep foundation. They’re also less expensive than traditional concrete piers.

Drilled Concrete Piers

Homes built on hillsides often experience movement in their foundations, because over time the soil supporting the foundation migrates downhill. When this happens you’ll start to see typical foundation problems including sloped floors, windows and doors that are out of alignment, and cracks in walls, floors, and ceilings. Concrete piers drilled deep down into the bedrock are used to stabilize homes built on hillsides.

Polyurethane Foam Injection

Even concrete sidewalks and other types of walkways can experience settlement. Common causes include problems with tree roots, drainage, and expansive clay soil. Since uneven concrete can be a safety hazard, you should repair the problem as soon as possible.

We use a quick, minimally-invasive process to lift sunken concrete sidewalks and walkways. It involves injecting a special polyurethane foam under the slab. As the foam expands under the slab, it lifts it back into position. It’s less expensive than replacing the slab and as soon as the repair is done, you can use the sidewalk or walkway.

Crawl Space Screw Jack Replacement

There are times when you have a sound foundation, but still notice signs of settlement like cracked walls, and doors and windows that stick. In these cases, the problem is usually caused by screw jacks that have deteriorated or posts in your crawl space that have settled. Fortunately, we can usually use the existing pier locks and simply remove and replace the posts or screw jacks. At that point the floor can be lifted back into position.

Foundation Replacement

Unfortunately, there are times when the damage to a foundation is so extensive that it doesn’t make sense to repair it. There are also times when it’s simply not cost-effective to repair a foundation. When this happens, we can do either a full or partial foundation replacement.
